Steps to make Pazham payasam /banana kheer:
  1. Heat a pan and add the jaggery syrup into this add the boiled bananas in paste form (put the banana in mixer and make a paste). Then saute it well until it becomes brown in colour.
  2. Put the coconut in mixer and by adding little water, extract the milk.this is called 1 st pal/onnampal.keep it aside
  3. Then again put the coconut in mixer and add more water and crush it.extract the remaining milk from the already extracted.its called 2nd milk /randampal
  4. Add the 2nd milk / randaampaal and mix well.once its boiled add the 1 st milk /onnampaal and mix well.
  5. Switch off the flame before it starts boiling.over boiling ruins the taste.
  6. In a pan add ghee and add the sliced coconut to it.once its brown add it to the payasam.sprinkle the crushed cardamom above it
