  3. In a larger bowl, mix together the wet ingredients. (Eggs and pumpkin puree.)
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until blended together. Stir in the evaporated milk.
  5. Pour the pumpkin mixture into the pie shell in the pie pan.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes and then reduce heat to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Bake for an additional 50 to 55 minutes. Check with a toothpick, to make sure that it comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool on a rack for about 2 to 3 hours.

Or you can make the pie, loosely wrap it in plastic wrap and keep it chilled in the refrigerator for up to two days. For the cranberries: Place cranberries in a large bowl; set aside. Cut the pumpkin in half and lay the pieces cut-side down on a rimmed baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. It's is the best pumpkin pie because it actually has a bit of spice in it. Other recipes taste like a big ball of sugar and cinnamon.
